Britons Croft Consultation Event
Well done Steyning Beavers and Cubs
Our local Beavers and Cubs, under the guidance of their leader Robert Sawyer, have performed sterling work in Memorial Playing Field over the last few weeks as part of Scout Community Week.
They have been cutting away some brambles by the children’s play area, tidying up generally, cleaning seats, painting gates and doing all the little jobs of maintenance to help make our Playing Fields look tidy.*
So a special thanks to all our young people, and not forgetting all the adults who supervised and also helped.
I also want to pay a special thank you to Ian Alexander from Steyning & District Community Partnership, who is also one of the Beaver leaders, and his wife Mariella, who is one of our Parish Councillors for initiating this. Above is a photo of the group, with myself included (23rd May 2012).
Well done Scouts Cubs and Beavers!
